About Us
At Rachel Rover AZ, dogs stay in our home and are treated like family. We provide comfortable, in-home boarding and daycare with personalized attention, playtime, and lots of love, so you can enjoy your time away with total peace of mind. Every dog is treated like famly and we pay attention to their individual needs. We try to mimic their routine they have at home so they feel extra comfortable here!
In the photo is me, Rachel, the proud owner of Rachel Rover AZ, and my furry best friends are Kylah and Kaysen. Kylah, is my shepherd/cattle dog mix, she's basically the daycare boss! she’s paid in treats and unlimited playtime! Kaysen, our newest addition, is a sweet and playful German Shepherd we adopted in 2024 from Heart of Infinity Rescue. He loves to play and will love playing with your pup while they are here!
Dogs have always been my passion, so I decided to turn that love into something meaningful. It all started over 7 years ago when I switched from working at a big boarding facility to looking after dogs right here in my home. I saw how dogs can get a little overwhelmed or stressed when they are not in a home like environment. So I thought, why not open up my wonderful home to them?
Outside of hosting doggies at our home, I also volunteer with local animal rescues, help them run their social media accounts, and lend a hand by occasionally fostering dogs. Kylah herself was one of my foster dogs back in 2020 with Love Connection Dog Rescue, and I ended up falling head over heels for her, & my husband and I adopted her! We recently adopted Kaysen from the same rescue I volunteer with, in 2024, and he’s been the perfect addition to our family. We fostered him at 8 weeks old, but adopted him right away. He LOVES to play with all the dogs that come over. I firmly believe that our world is a brighter and better place with these wonderful creatures in it. Dogs truly make the world better.
At our house, the doggies are allowed on the couches, and we try to mimic the routine they are used to at home. We want the dogs here to feel like this is their second home when their parents are away. My husband and I treat the dogs who stay with us like our own. We also send picture updates while you are away, and you’ll be sure to see them on Instagram! They might even be featured in a fun Instagram post during their stay. You will be sure to see your pups in my instagram stories at least once per day while they are here!
Because I watch more than one doggy at a time, I require that all dogs are up to date on their vaccines before they come over, (Rabies, Bordetella, and Parvo vaccines). While your dogs are here, they will get to play with other dogs, enjoy pup cups (with parent permission), and have a great time! To ensure the safety of all the doggies, I also require that dogs are good with other dogs or have been socialized to some degree. A Little More About Me:
My husband and I got married in May 2024, and Kylah was a flower girl in our wedding! We have been together for 10 years, and met in college at ASU. It just so happens to help pay the bills, but I started watching dogs because I love them. And my passion led me to my career path :)
